Portraits by Nasos Karabelas
These images were taken by Nasos Karabelas and tagged on his Behance profile as long exposure along with noise, grain and more. I found these images very interesting in the feeling they give out, they seem to me like the people are ghosts with the grain, colour and effect of the long exposure. Unlike the work of Kristina Gentvainyte with tulipa these images are softer but still show a strong contrast which I think is because they are black and white because they might give out a different feeling in colour. I have only experimented once with portraiture and I only took a few images, but I haven’t tried editing any of the images yet. So far, I haven’t tried to incorporate any other technique or setting to my images like in this case this case where he is using ISO long exposure. I think that noise and long exposure went great together, and it also fits his style of images which I have noticed in previous works. Everything I have mentioned is based on my thought that he didn’t edit the noise in these images but I do think he might have added contrast to make it looks more grainy.
